I am currently a Newscast Producer at WKRG News 5, where I oversee the production, creation, and execution of live newscasts. In my role, I’m responsible for building shows that are both informative and compelling, using strategic story placement, engaging video, strong graphics, and creative camera work to deliver the news in a way that captures and holds viewers’ attention. Producing a successful newscast requires more than just stacking scripts — it demands strong editorial judgment, clear communication, and the ability to perform under pressure. I thrive in high-stress, fast-paced environments, consistently meeting tight deadlines while making critical decisions in real time. I collaborate closely with managers, anchors, directors, reporters and others to ensure every show runs smoothly from start to finish. Throughout my time at WKRG, I’ve produced a variety of shows including mornings, dayside, evenings, weekends, and special coverage. I’m currently producing our hour-long 4 p.m. newscast, The 4 on 5. I graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism. I chose this field because I believe in the responsibility and impact of journalism in society. I bring passion and purpose to the work that I produce. One of my favorite lines from the Auburn Creed is that Auburn men and women “believe in work, hard work.” That mindset guides me every day, and I take pride in the dedication, timeliness, and integrity I bring to the workplace.
