About Olivia Amaral

Hello, everyone. My name is Olivia Amaral and I am a Dean College Graduate as of May 2022 with my Bachelor’s Degree in Arts for Theatre with a concentration in Musical Theatre. Performing theatrically has been a big part of my life ever since I was in the 7th grade and I've been singing for as long as I could remember. Along with theatre, I have an exceptional passion for art, both digitally and traditionally. In high school, I participated in Bourne High School’s Drama Club where I received many leading roles. I also had the tremendous opportunity to participate in The Massachusetts Educational Theatre Guild Drama Festival where I competed as an actor, crew member, makeup designer, and assistant stage manager for four years. During these competitions, I received many awards such as Best Female Actor, Best Makeup Designer, and Excellence in Set Design. My journey through college has presented me with many performance opportunities as well as participating in The Kennedy Center American College Theatre Region 1 Festival. There, I received The Richard Maltby Jr. Award for Musical Theatre Excellence as a Region 1 Finalist for The Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival. This award gave me the opportunity to perform at the Kennedy Center for Performing Arts in Washington DC for the National Festival. Beside's my love for the performance side of theatre, I have found myself working on the administrative side. I was fortunate enough to intern at the Performing Arts Center of MetroWest during the fall semester of my senior year. I was able to apply skills I have learned throughout my many years of working in different fields of work as well as what I have gathered in my theatre classes at Dean College. I wish to continue my growth in the workforce, whether it be on stage or working behind the scenes in marketing. As well as learn, strengthen, and enhance my skills in whichever task I take next.
