I am a PhD biomedical scientist (immunology and microbiology) with expertise in molecular and cellular biology, immunology, and genetics. My passion lies in solving complex scientific problems, optimizing experimental workflows, and empowering researchers through technical support and scientific communication. My career began in academic research, where I led preclinical and translational immunology projects investigating immune function in health and disease. During my time as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow and Graduate Researcher, I developed expertise in flow cytometry, cell culture, and in vivo/ex vivo models. Through these projects, I not only honed my technical skills but also gained grant-writing experience, securing competitive NIH and foundation funding. Transitioning from academia, I have leveraged my scientific expertise and problem-solving abilities in a Scientific Support Specialist role, where I provide consultative technical support to biotech, biopharma, and academic researchers. I assist customers in troubleshooting experimental challenges, optimizing protocols, and interpreting complex datasets, ensuring they can effectively utilize cutting-edge molecular biology tools including RNAi and CRISPR-Cas9 gene editing. My role also involves developing and editing technical documents and collaborating cross-functionally with sales, R&D, and product management.
