About Olivia Black

I am a dedicated elementary school teacher whose passion lies in creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students are at the centre of all learning. Through diverse experiences in teaching, mentoring, and leadership, ranging from emergency supply teaching, school practicums, camp counsellor, and through clubs, I have developed a passion and ability to meet every student where they are at, and classroom management skills. As a new teacher, I am constantly learning and growing into an educator who will be the best for my future students, as I seek further professional development opportunities. I plan to continue my learning by pursuing Additional Qualifications in Intermediate English, Intermediate Mathematics, Health and Physical Education P/J, and Teaching English Language Learners. Once I complete two years of teaching, I will look to take the Honours Specialist in both English and Health and Physical Education. I am eager to bring my adaptability, enthusiasm, strong communication, and passion into every educational setting, while fostering a positive and safe space to grow and learn, for students to succeed.
