About Olivia Chadwick

BSc Psychology Graduate, with a specific interest in Educational Psychology. I am currently working as a Lead EHCP Coordinator and am responsible for a caseload of children with EHCPs, alongside the line management of EHCP Coordinators. This includes overseeing the child’s journey from the commencement of statutory assessment to placement, ensuring all statutory processes are met, until finalisation of their EHCP using key working principles with the family. This also involves multi-agency working alongside Educational Psychologists, Speech and Language Therapists and Occupational Therapists. I have previous experience working with primary and secondary school children with Special Educational Needs, including Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, ASD, ADHD, Tourette’s, attachment disorder and limited working and short-term memory capacities. This included differentiating work to ensure the child could learn effectively and to the best of their abilities in a mainstream classroom environment alongside their peers. I also have had a short amount of experience working in a special needs provision, supporting early years children and providing specialist intervention in accordance with support from Physical and Speech and Language Therapists. I have a huge passion for the Education system, and want to do what I can to ensure children can achieve their full potential, regardless of any educational need they may face. I am hoping to gain more experience, in order to qualify as an Educational Psychologist, and therefore use my acquired skills to help children in the education system.
