About Olivia Getson

Currently on Maternity Leave from Assumption College Kilmore as a full time VCE Physical Education, Health, PE and Food Studies teacher and working casually at BodyFit Fairfield and Montmorency as a Fitness Coach. I offer a unique personality, well developed people skills and excellent communication. I have an eye for detail and dedication to achieving results through hard work. I began my teaching career at St Monica’s College, Epping in 2020 as a full time Health and PE teacher where I successfully completed my VIT for full teaching registration. I graduated from The University of Melbourne with a Masters of Teaching (Secondary). My passion is working with young people, especially women in sport and physical activity, as well as, injury prevention. I thrive off being able to show people how they can reach their full potential. My previous employment includes the Macleod Recreation and Sports Centre as a Fitness Professional and Customer Service Officer. I worked at Richmond Football Club as a Sports Trainer for their AFL and VFL teams at training and on game days. I completed my Master of Sport Science (Football Performance) at Victoria University in 2017.As part of my Masters I completed a Sport Science Internship at Richmond FC, GPS Technology as part of my Research Report on Periodisation and Markers of Wellness, which has expanded my knowledge in this department. Graduated from Victoria University in 2016 with a Bachelor Degree in Sport and Recreation Management/ Exercise Science and Human Movement and am studying a Masters of Secondary Education at the University of Melbourne.
