About Olivia Hahn

As a current Ed.S. School Psychology graduate student at Chapman University with an emphasis in clinical counseling, I am passionate about supporting the academic, emotional, and behavioral well-being of all students—especially those navigating systemic barriers or mental health challenges. My educational journey began with a B.S. in Psychological and Brain Sciences from UC Santa Barbara, where I cultivated a strong foundation in developmental psychology, neuroscience, and trauma-informed care. Over the years, I’ve held a variety of hands-on roles across K–12 and after-school settings—from working one-on-one with Special Day Class (SDC) students and facilitating enrichment programming, to substitute teaching and applying ABA techniques at a summer camp for neurodiverse children. These experiences have shaped my empathetic, equity-centered approach to school psychology. Beyond the classroom, I’ve demonstrated a strong commitment to advocacy and leadership. As President of Freedom 4 Youth, I led trauma-informed mentorship programs for youth impacted by incarceration, training over 50 peers and collaborating with detention facilities to make real change. I’ve also served in leadership roles with the Society of Undergraduate Psychologists and Power of Play, building inclusive spaces for student development and community impact.
