About Olivia Hilfiker

Nothing is more important to me than environmental conservation; my passion for the natural world has been my number one motivator for what I do and how I do it. While obtaining my BA in Environmental Studies at Florida Gulf Coast University, I accumulated many years of customer service at my full time job(s), organizational and technical skills, and a deepened understanding in environmental science and education. My main work experience has been in the restaurant business as a server. While working at a variety of restaurants throughout my college career, I learned how to interact with guests and make their dining experience enjoyable. My customer service skills have increased because of my day-to-day interactions with so many different people. Once I graduated FGCU, I said goodbye to the restaurant industry and pursued a career at Environmental Risk Management, Inc, an environmental consulting and engineering company. I’m overjoyed that I was able to gain a quality education in environmental studies, the subject I care most about, and obtain a job at a company that focuses on environmental cleanup and remediation in Southwest Florida. My experience in the professional, environmental industry of Southwest Florida was additionally strengthened through my internship at the Florida Department of Environmental Protection in 2016. Learning how our land, air, and water are regulated and protected by the state was a blessing to have as part of my environmental education.
