About Olivia Hockaday
A former dancer, Olivia has always been passionate and curious about movement. Her love for the method stems from the physicality of the work as strength training combined with the precise technique of dance. She was comprehensively trained under Melissa Kakavas + Jen Gianni in North Carolina through Balanced Body. When Olivia isn't teaching Pilates she's Art-ing + Designing under her brand MOOGiE, inspired by lots of skeletons, bright colors, and organic mark making. She is a versatile artist + designer who has a huge passion for creating work where the hand is evident. During her time at NC State she was able to explore digital modes of storytelling & communication. She has been able to combine her passion for fine art with her creative thinking process in a variety of media; graphic design, video, photography & social media content creation.
