About Olivia Makowski

My name is Olivia and I am a second year Exercise and Sport Science student and Deakin University, majoring in strength and conditioning. I am a member of St Josephs football and netball club as a senior women's footballer, as well as a senior women's netball player at Grovedale Football and Netball club. I am interested in starting my career in the ares of sport coaching or strength and conditioning/fitness. Previously, I have had multiple roles including coaching year 3-4 netball, beach and pool lifeguarding and volunteer lifesaving, to now working as a rowing and netball coach at 'The Geelong College' as well as a position as a head coach at 'Little Sports Heroes'. All of these jobs have improved my; communication skills in delivering clear and concise instructions to swimmers and beachgoers; collaboration abilities through working with students and other coaches to provide correct knowledge to improve skills; and my interpersonal skills through creating strong connections with students to allow for a safe fun environment. I am an independent, self-motivated and approachable individual with a passion for learning new skills to assist in developing my own personal knowledge. With this passion and determination I believe I would be suited in any workplace.
