About Olivia Margain

Former deputy manager of rhythmic gymnastics at Paris 2024, the organizing committee of the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, I am a holder of a master's degree in Olympic studies, and passionate about sport and travels. I used to be a rhythmic gymnastics trainer and always thought my dream was to be a physical education teacher and that’s when it happened; the spark I was missing ignited the instant I started organising the national championships of rhythmic gymnastics and dealing with all the challenges that came with it. It gave me the taste of what sports events management is. Discovering all aspects of the event and managing risk and stress made me realised that I wanted to build my working career of Sport Event Manager. I have more than 10 years of experience in the field of international sporting events, including 4 years spent in an international federation. I have worked or volunteered for more than 10 major events, such as the Sochi Olympic Games, the European Games, the UEFA Euro, the Rio Paralympic Games or more recently the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Throughout my different work experiences, I gained solid knowledge in project management and my principal know-how includes- The coordination of small and large events in all types of venues - The event planning and administrative follow-up - A capacity to develop and maintain comprehensive administrative processes that improve the efficiency of day-to-day operations - Event Management - Event Planning - Social Media - Teamwork - Public Speaking - Organization Skills - Hospitality - Leadership I love planning, I am meticulous with every last detail, and I can juggle multiple different vendors effortlessly under tight deadlines. I am dynamic, curious and always motivated by new challenges.
