About Olivia Miller

In my previous role with MMR, I lead a sensory panel tasting different products from the language development stage all the way to project work where we gather data to make business decisions. In this role, I have been able to utilize my ability to facilitate conversation and learning to help the panel come to consensus and become aligned. I have also assisted my client to recruit new panelists and have been able to increase panelist numbers from November.In my previous role, I was a Food Technologist at ColdSnap where I developed new product formulas, assessed flavor profiles and shelf life, and worked towards launching our machine and pods! Prior to that, I worked at the Leavitt Corporation where I was able ensure that all product met specifications before heading to market. I had also worked at the Boston Beer Company where I was able to help maintain flavor profiles of existing products, analyzed sensory data, and assisted with panel management.At Tillamook County Creamery Association, I was able to learn the ins and outs of food production. I was able to work as an intern for R&D as well as Sensory; from there I was able to work full time in the Sensory department. In these roles, I was able to further develop my data analysis skills and much more. I am a graduate of Oregon State University (Class of 2018) with a B.S. in Food Science and Technology with a Minor in Chemistry. I worked at the Oregon State Creamery where I assisted with the production of cheese and got excellent experience working with dairy foods and in a food production environment.In previous roles, I have worked under Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and Product Development umbrellas of the Food Science Industry. I’m always looking to keep learning and become a better food scientist.
