About Olivia Mills

Olivia is currently living and working in Portland, Oregon at Morrison Child and Family Services on the training and leadership team for Home Study and Post Release Services for unaccompanied minors under the Office of Refugee Resettlement. In this position she is training and guiding staff who work directly with refugee families and with internal organizational leaders to ensure staff is in alignment with ORR Policy while providing high-quality and trauma-informed care to clients. Olivia plans to continue on to Law School and pursue a career as an immigration attorney on the West Coast in her later 20's with the greater goal of assisting and representing immigrants during their migration processes. Her previous work experience includes child care and youth music education and customer service at Starbucks and the UOAA, and she is actively working in an assistant position contracted for social media, marketing, web and graphic design, and brand management for Michelle Watson Inc. The most valuable skills Olivia brings to the table include her full proficiency in Spanish, refined and confident communication skills, innovative problem-solving abilities, punctuality in meeting deadlines with quality under pressure, and a hardworking attitude in both her professional and personal life. Nothing is more important to her than close family and friends, and she spends her free time volunteering her skills at Centro Victoria Hispanic church in Beaverton, Oregon, hiking around the PNW, or spending time with her inner circle of friends and loved family.
