About Olivia Moy

I am a recent graduate of the Academy of Art University, where I studied Traditional Animation and Illustration. My first film, “The Box,” is a short film completed in the experimental Paint-on-Glass technique. I singlehandedly did all the of the storyboard planning and animation on the film. My second film, “Thick as Thieves” is a hand-drawn animated musical short in the pre-production phase. Its progress is being documented online via its own Facebook page. While I don't have any experience in film outside of school, I have been on the Academy of Art University's President’s List for academic excellence, and have received positive feedback from my professors and peers. Outside of my film experience, I have worked collaboratively on a children's book that is in the process of finding a publisher. I co-wrote the story, and was responsible for developing the character designs and layout of the book. I have not only worked for myself, but have also developed illustrations for private commissioners. In completing these projects, I have utilized my experience with Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, COREL painter, and TVPaint Animation software. I frequently combine these digital skills with traditional media for a unique look. The traditional media I most frequently use is watercolor, acrylic paints, markers, brushed ink, colored pencils, and pastels. However, I am adaptable, and always open to learning new skills for whatever the project requires.
