I have been an aviation professional for over 30 years. I was first an operational Air Traffic Controller in en-route and TMA for over 20 years, and then moved to Brussels to work at the SESAR, the programme in charge of the development and implementation of the Digital European Sky. I am passionate about innovation and particularly motivated by that aspect of my role that allows me to take sometimes immature ideas through rigorous research involving many international stakeholders all the way through to operational deployment. I am a member of the Programme Committees of the SESAR Innovation Days and the ATM Seminar, the Alliance for ZERO Emissions Aviation (AZEA) and the CDO/CCO Task Force and I am also an advisor on the ICAO ATMRPP and AAM SG.
