About Olivia P.

My name is Olivia Prezioso, and I am a current undergraduate student at Northeastern University majoring in Criminal Justice and Political Science with a minor in Law and Public Policy. Throughout high school I channeled my interest in policy into founding and leading an organization, Kids for Kids, which worked to support Hartford, Connecticut's Children's Medical Center through different projects such as letter writing to pediatric patients, and multiple drives and fundraisers to support the hospital's goal of making their environment more welcoming and less intimidating to the young patients. I have continued to explore my interest in health policy throughout my time at Northeastern University, specifically dedicating my Senior Capstone project to disability and special education policy research in Massachusetts as well as at the Federal level, and finding where the state fails students with disabilities and their families, and how these failures can be addressed.
