About Olivia Reddin

Human Resources Business Partner with Murphy Hospitality Group based in Charlottetown, PEI. I provide support to MHG's operations in a variety of areas including recruitment, employee relations, compensation, and learning & development. Previously, I worked as Manager of Human Resources for the Newfoundland and Labrador English School District where I addressed all issues that would arise in a unionized environment. This included the interpretation and administration of various collective agreements, providing advice on HR policies and programs, recruitment and selection, employee relations, coaching and attendance management, compensation, classification, and professional development, and participating policy program development. In 2022 I graduated from Memorial University of Newfoundland's Master of Employment Relations program. The MER program perfectly combined my passions for business and people by allowing me to learn about the employment relationship at an advanced level while considering various perspectives. Upon graduating from the MER program, I was honoured to receive the title “Fellow of the School of Graduate Studies” in recognition of my academic achievements. One of these achievements include the successful completion of my applied research project entitled “The Future of the Glass Ceiling: Limiting Leadership Opportunities for Marginalized Employees”. In 2021 I graduated from the University of New Brunswick with a Bachelor of Business Administration. My areas of focus include a First-Class Honours in Human Resources Management and a Minor in Sociology. I have a profound interest in people and business, merging the two throughout my degree. I have three years of experience working as a student in the Federal Public Service. My experiences with the Government of Canada have given me the opportunity to build relationships with varied clientele both in the private and public sectors, and has allowed me to develop a deep appreciation for the diversity and resilience of Canadians.
