About Olivia Sever

I graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a Bachelors degree in finance and have launched my career in Vanguard’s Acceleration into Financial Professional Program(AFP), rotating through four different finance roles. My background in finance has honed my ability to analyze data, manage cross-functional projects, and drive strategic initiatives. Over time, I discovered my passion as a D1 student athlete translated to my interests in leading others in the professional world. I have been able to grow this through my rotation as a Chief of Staff and leading program initiatives. The moments where I’ve helped individuals grow and develop, guided teams toward success, and fostered collaborative environments have driven my interest in pursuing Human Resources where I can focus on people first to drive positive outcomes for all. With continued development through Vanguard's AFP Program, I have built a solid foundation in financial concepts and strategies, and business operations. I am eager to leverage my unique combination of financial expertise and people-centered leadership to transition into HR in the future, driving data-driven insights to support talent development, enhance employee engagement, and align people strategies with organizational goals.
