About Olivier Pierre

I'm a CG artist graduated from ESMA School in 2011 where I have studied during 3 years. I come from an artistic background, and was previously dedicating my time to fine arts. Mainly drawing and painting. Entering in the CG world offered me to pair this passion with a more technical, physics and mathematics oriented aspect, barely approached before. I kept on with fine arts on my spare time though My first experience at Nwave Digital offered me the luxury to learn and push several specialities at the same time. They have all my gratitude for that. Character Grooming progressively becoming the main one. But I cumulate several years experience in Character Modeling and Character Surfacing also. Curious about all the part of the job, I rarely resist to the will of studying and trying a tempting discipline each time I have the occasion. Each company I worked for since, gave me the occasion to pursue this goal. Achieving new challenges on audacious projects and growing the skill palette. That what is driving me. An important amount of my time is spent to observe my environnement to understand how things works. The other part in studying. As a talented collegue once taught me “the key is observation”. He was right. As a regular supervisor now, I consider important in my work to be able to cumulate artistic, technical, and pedagogical skills for my team. Aiming to set for each one of them an adapted context to learn.
