About Olona Luwaca

As a Machine Specialist at Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa (CCBSA), I apply my N5 qualification in Mechanical Engineering and my skills in fitting and metal fabrication to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment. I also work on modification projects, installation of new equipment, and development of work instructions related to mechanical equipment. I am passionate about optimizing machine performance, layout, and availability, using the VPO tools and conducting root cause analysis. I have contributed to increasing the user retention rate by 25% and reducing the downtime by 15%. I work well in teams, collaborating with other technicians, engineers, and supervisors to ensure compliance with SANS standards and regulatory requirements. I am always eager to learn new skills and adapt to changing situations, as demonstrated by my previous experiences at Nampak Bevcan, the South African Breweries(ABinBev) and Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa(CCBSA).
