About Omar Donez

With over 20 years of experience in finance, controlling, and accounting, I am a seasoned professional in the BPO, IT, packaging, and automotive industries. I have worked for public SOX compliance companies with presence in several countries and regions, including the United States, Mexico, Europe, Asia, Central and South America. Currently, I am the Finance Manager LATAM at BRP, a global leader in the design, development, manufacturing, distribution, and marketing of powersports vehicles and marine products. As the Finance Manager LATAM, I manage the accounting, treasury, and AP functions for four plants and a corporate department, with a combined annual revenue of around 60 million dollars. I report to a Finance Director and lead a team of 13 people responsible for internal control, month/quarter/yearly end close, audits attention, cash flow budgeting and management, foreign currencies risk coverage, balance sheet and bank reconciliations review, electronic accounting, AP and AR. I also perform full accounting cycle responsibilities, including budgeting/forecasting, VARBU analysis, new business models review, billing, AR and AP approvals. I have strong experience in SOX, internal control, and cost modeling, and problem-solving abilities based on financial analysis. I have successfully interacted with top management, shareholders, external vendors, and customers, and mentored multicultural and remote teams.
