About Omar Forero

I discovered my passion for coding during my studies in Electromechanics. My initial exposure to the world of software development occurred when I took my first programming courses at university, including Arduino (which uses the Wiring programming language based on C/C++) and Matlab. This experience laid a strong foundation in programming logic and algorithms. Subsequently, I made the decision to focus on software development and data science to pursue a career in technology. Since then, I've been dedicated to enhancing my skills, gaining proficiency in both front-end and back-end development and Data Science - Machine Learning. My skillset includes expertise in- Responsive Web Design / HTML5 / CSS3 / Bootstrap 4 and 5- Emmet- JavaScript / ECMAScript6 / TypeScript /Python - Version control using Git & GitHub- Angular /React - Deployment- NodeJS / Express / MongoDB (NoSQL)/ Mongoose - SQL - Building RESTful APIs and using Postman- WordPress- Administrator on: SharePoint, Adobe console, ArcGis, G-suite, AWS, Hetzner, Microsoft 365 suite. I have experience in developing applications in the humanitarian sector, and I currently serve as the IT Officer for 3iS (a humanitarian organization affiliated with Kuery), where I perform tasks as a systems administrator and developer.
