About Omar Maan

As an experienced professional, I use my knowledge of regulations, analytical strengths, and project management skills to help organizations navigate the complex and evolving landscape of regulatory compliance. I have worked with diverse and global teams of experts to develop and deliver fit-for-purpose regulatory management systems, programs, processes, and solutions that meet the needs and goals of organizations in a variety of industries (e.g, Oil and Gas, Manufacturing, Retail), while ensuring adherence to the highest standards of quality and ethics. I also have a passion for science and innovation which stems from my academic background in chemical engineering and physics, and gave me a solid foundation in data analysis, materials science, and sustainable operations. I completed my Master of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Calgary in 2018, where I conducted research on bio-based polymers and nanocomposites, and published multiple papers in peer-reviewed journals. My other passion lies in software engineering and machine learning using Python; subjects that I have explored in the past through my academic work. I am now actively enrolled in Harvard CS50's courses to hone my programming and AI skills as I firmly believe in the power of continuous learning as an essential tool to not only stay relevant in a dynamic job market but also to bring enhanced value to companies and clients. I am passionate about leveraging these newfound skills to contribute meaningfully to the ever-evolving landscape of technology.
