About Omkar Badadale

Data Scientist & Analytics Engineer with 3 years of experience delivering scalable, data-driven solutions. Skilled in Machine Learning, AI, Python, SQL, AWS, and Big Data technologies, I build predictive models, automate analytics workflows, and transform raw data into actionable insights. Currently pursuing my Master’s in Data Science at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, I’m expanding my expertise in deep learning, cloud platforms, advanced analytics, and AI applications to solve real-world challenges in healthcare, sustainability and supply chain management. My current research involves developing advanced Machine Learning models to predict ESG pillar weights using multi-layered data — from firm-level financials to market structure (HHI), regional/industry factors, and country-level governance indicators. By applying SHAP explainability, I uncover the most influential drivers of Environmental, Social, and Governance priorities, enabling organizations to better align sustainability strategies with business performance. This research has demonstrated how profitability, market concentration, and institutional quality shape ESG outcomes — insights that are directly transferable to corporate data strategy and impact measurement. This research has also been publish at a renowned Journal where I am the co-author and presented at INFORMS Annual 2025, Atlanta. Passionate about bridging data science and strategic decision-making, I look forward to connecting with professionals and teams interested in impactful, data-centric solutions.
