About Omveer Sharma

Summary: I am a researcher specializing in artificial intelligence, with expertise in autonomous vehicle technology, deep learning, driver behavior modeling, trajectory prediction, and collision estimation. Currently, I am a Postdoctoral Fellow (2025–present) at the Leon H. Charney School of Marine Sciences, University of Haifa, where I’m transitioning into the field of swarm robotics and AI at the SAIL lab. The lab focuses on cutting-edge autonomous systems, including AUVs, USVs, and aerial drones, leveraging motion planning, reinforcement learning, multi-agent coordination, and neural modeling—perfectly aligning with my interest in bridging neuroscience, AI, and robotics. Previously, I served as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Sagol Department of Neurobiology, also at the University of Haifa (2023–2025), where I developed computational models for psychiatric and neurodevelopmental disorders. Previously, as a Senior Research Fellow at IIT Bhubaneswar, I worked on identifying model biases in environmental events. My PhD in Electrical Engineering from IIT Bhubaneswar focused on AI-driven behavior planning and collision estimation for autonomous vehicles. Experience: Postdoctoral Fellow (2025–present): Leon H.
