I have successfully completed three months of Industry Exposure and Technical Skills Training in the Kitchen Department at Couples Negril hotel jamaica and was awarded with a certificate and due to my performance i have been employed as a Pantry Cook and thorefore obtain years of valuable work experience at couples Negril hotel. Some of my duties are to: Make various salads, dressings and chutney Creatively cut fruit, vegetable and cheese in various design to serve on buffet Carved fruits, vegetables and ice to garnish buffet, cocktail party and special function Prepare and serve appetizers in fine dining restaurant Prepare chilled oven Roasted and or grilled meat, poultry and vegetable platter for cold food buffet Garnish, set up and oversee buffet Ensure the ideal temperature is being maintained for cold food on buffet Maintain a clean and safe kitchen and work area Maintain inventory and record of food Determine size of food portions Prepare special appetizers for guests with allergies Cater for cocktail party, weddings, and special functions Prepare soups, sauces, and stocks Train new team members
