Part of the pre opening team for Birch in Selsdon as General manager of the All day dining restaurant. Leading the Vervain team in daily operations and events. Pre opening a historic building, with a Michelin starred executive chef. Recruiting and training for operation and leading the team into opening our 181 bedroom hotel. Using my past experience and knowledge of the hospitality industry to push the team forward from soft opening to a fully functional private members club. L&D Training and recruiting. OS & E, budget control and menu planning. Working closely with our F&B director and Head of Bars to create a working environment unique for Birch and guest alike. Previously part of the leadership team at Madera restaurant in The Treehouse Hotel. Breakfast manager running banqueting and corporate events and private dining as well as breakfast, brunch and lunch service. A creative and self-motivated individual. Drawing influences from across fashion and art. Previously a restaurant owner with a solid history of leading high-performance teams to meet and exceed objectives, as well as a tactical team builder with a strong background in training and team development. As someone that is highly driven I am looking to expand my career, using my creative and innovative skills to keep growing professionally in a role and industry I am passionate about. For 17 years I owned and had worked and run a well-established Café/Dining establishment in South London, which sadly closed due to Covid-19. During the lockdown period I took the opportunity to learn new skills outside of my comfort zones, as well as use my career experience to offer consultation to a new restaurant business. I am eager to use my experience as a foundation to progress beyond my current knowledge and skillset, which I hope will allow me to grow my career into something new and establish myself within catering and hospitality.
