About Ony Jamhari

With over 25 years of experience, Ony Avrianto Jamhari is a dedicated and forward-thinking leader in international education and policy. He currently serves as the Country Director for Woosong University in Daejeon, South Korea, where he oversees higher education initiatives in Indonesia. His role involves strategic planning, academic program management, partnership development, and upholding excellence in education. Previously, Ony was the Chief Executive Officer of the School of Government and Public Policy – Indonesia (SGPP-Indonesia), the country’s first policy school offering an English-language master's program aligned with global standards. He is deeply committed to nurturing future leaders, policymakers, and global citizens who can positively impact Indonesia and the wider world. Ony brings a wealth of international experience, having lived and worked in South Korea, the United States, and Indonesia. He is fluent in both Javanese and English, offering a unique cultural and linguistic perspective. As CEO of SGPP-Indonesia, Ony guided the institution’s strategic vision, ensuring academic quality, financial stability, and societal relevance. He forged strong partnerships with government bodies, international agencies, universities, media, and civil society, while also championing innovation, diversity, and collaboration within the academic community.
