About Oona Demko

I'm a second-year J.D. candidate at Wayne State University Law School where I serve as a member of the Moot Court team and as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Business Law. I have a interested in international business law, but, I remain open to all areas of law and am eager to explore all that the legal field has to offer. Before attending law school, I spent eight years working in community development, real estate development, and consulting, where I collaborated with developers, business owners, and nonprofits across the Midwest. In my various roles as a project manager, underwriter, and consultant, I successfully led multidisciplinary teams, developed client relationships, and managed complex projects. My experience in multifamily housing underwriting, commercial real estate financing, and affordable housing development has provided me with technical expertise that I am excited to apply in a legal context. In my free time, you can find me gardening, attending French conversation meet-ups, and ice skating.
