About Orish Jindal

I’m a Robotics and AI Engineer with a passion for building autonomous systems that combine intelligence, perception, and precision. With a background in Mechanical Engineering from IIT and a Master’s in Intelligent Systems, Robotics, and Control from UC San Diego, I bring a unique blend of mechanical intuition and algorithmic thinking to the field of robotics. My work lies at the intersection of control systems, motion planning, and AI-powered perception. I’ve designed and deployed real-world solutions involving industrial manipulators (e.g, Yaskawa HC10DTP), AMRs (Omron, OTTO), and 3D vision systems leveraging deep learning models like Panoptic DeepLab with attention-based backbones (DFormer). I’ve also worked extensively on SLAM pipelines, multi-sensor fusion, and simulation environments using ROS/ROS2, Python, and C++. Equally passionate about the intelligence side of autonomy, I’ve built deep learning pipelines for real-time object detection, panoptic segmentation, gaze tracking, and pickability scoring using PyTorch and TensorFlow. My foundation in statistical learning, linear algebra, and data analysis enables me to integrate machine learning methods with robotic perception and decision-making. Beyond the technical skill set, I bring three years of R&D experience leading cross-functional teams in an industrial environment—balancing innovation, execution, and collaboration. Whether it’s prototyping a new control stack or debugging a vision pipeline at 2 AM, I bring relentless curiosity and a hands-on approach to everything I work on. I’m always open to discussing ideas at the intersection of robotics, deep learning, and intelligent systems. Let’s connect!
