About Orlanda Drebit

The majority of my career has been spent in senior executive positions in the Federal Public Service at the Department of Veterans Affairs national headquarters located in Charlottetown. I have strong leadership skills and proven experience in implementing results oriented and innovative changes. I have developed many partnerships and leveraged these networks to implement change processes. After a series of personal tragedies, I took early retirement from the Veterans Affairs Canada. However, after a period of rest and reflection have determined that I have too much to accomplish to stayed retired! My executive experience included management in the areas of Audit and Evaluation, Health Administration, policy development, project management, and National Social/Health care delivery. These assignments have involved public/private partnerships and also partnering with other federal departments. I have extensive experience in providing strategic advice to senior executives. I also have significant experience in managing financial and human resources. This experience includes executive management of multi-million dollar program and operating budgets and a maximum span of control of 65 staff. I am a leader that “walks the talk” of values and ethics. I am known to be extremely engaging leader. I also have several awards for management excellence. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce from the University of Saskatchewan and am fluently bi-lingual in French.
