About Oscar Eriksson

My name is Oscar Eriksson and I am at the tail end of my 5 year academic journey at KTH and Stanford. I am currently writing my master thesis at Enodo Robotics in Västerås, aimed at finding SOTA collision mapping methods for industrial manipulators working in unstructured environments. I might extend my stay there but am open to employment opportunities outside of Enodo, whether it be in Sweden or abroad! At KTH I've learned about mechanics, electrodynamics, statistical physics, controls and much more; the electrical engineering program provides a world class foundation for understanding physics and the math we use to model these processes. I chose to pursue the master program in robotics at KTH to be able to develop applications that rely on advanced computational mathematics to address problem in robotics which interface with our physical world. I got the opportunity and privilege to study abroad at Stanford where I got to participate in many exciting projects and lectures in machine learning and convex optimization at the worlds foremost institution in those domains. I've spent a lot of time in Formula Student as an electrical engineer working on chip programming, inter-chip communications and the implementation of the batter management system. This was the subject of my bachelors thesis. I then pivoted to path planning and controls in the driverless section of the organization before committing to my master thesis fully. I've also developed software for Sectra as part of an internship.
