About Oscar Reyes

I graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Computer Engineering and have eight years of IT experience. Currently, I’m a Systems Administrator II, Apple devices for Texas A&M University. My responsibilities include security compliance, server administration, problem management, and, most importantly, ensuring customer satisfaction.I began my career as a help desk technician before transitioning to a developer role at the Texas A&M College of Architecture, where I managed a distributed animation pipeline and oversaw around 250 Apple devices using Jamf. In my current role, I lead all Apple device management on campus and spearheaded the migration from eighteen Jamf servers to a single, unified server for Texas A&M. This experience has given me opportunities to share my insights as a speaker at the Texas A&M System’s Tech Summit, the Mac Admins Conference, and the Jamf Nation User Conference (JNUC).My strengths lie in automation and relationship building. I excel at finding scalable, efficient solutions to remove barriers for myself, my team, and, most importantly, my customers. To enhance this skill, I earned the AWS Solutions Architect Associate certification. I’ve also developed strong relationship management abilities, collaborating with diverse teams across campus to ensure the success of complex projects.
