About Oscar Scheepstra

I love Design as much as I love food and music! My education in Design was the most usual one. I was almost going to cooking school to become a chef and share my food with people around the world (quite a plan, eh?), but I had the last-minute decision to head to a different direction and go for Design. I was always tinkering with my Lego bricks when I was a child, so creating real things was the obvious direction to head for a career. After two years of IED Design School in São Paulo, Brazil, I decided that I needed more references and to interact with different cultures, so I got into a plane and landed in the Netherlands, where I studied Industrial Design at the TU/e for 3 semesters. After that I came back to Brazil to finish my studies. I believe projects must have a good interaction with users, no matter what they are - from a trash can to a Mobile App, everything shall work WITH the user. That is why I plan to start my Master's Degree in Psychology (or maybe Sociology) to learn how to develop projects that interact better with human beings. I have worked on different environments - from underground woodworking labs to Start-Ups, and I am always willing to try something new!
