Background
About Othman Saragdin
I am a farm manager at Growy, a company that operates the largest vertical farm network in the world, combining plant and data science to create the perfect growing conditions for the plants to thrive. I have been working in this role since Feb 2022, after two years of being a mechanical engineer at the same company, where I gained valuable experience and skills in the latest automation technologies and the science of hydroponics. As a operation manager, I am responsible for managing a team of 14 individuals on the day-to-day operation of the Kuwait farm, ensuring smooth and efficient performance. I am also the first point of contact when implementing and supervising new product or service upgrades, such as irrigation systems, internal logistics, processes, and HVAC maintenance. I have a mechanical engineering degree from Swansea University and over six years of engineering experience in various sectors, including construction, quality control, and piping. I am passionate about innovation, sustainability, and teamwork, and I am always eager to learn new skills and face new challenges in the engineering field.
