About Otto Hernandez

With a diverse background in many industries specializing in operations, production, process improvement, sales, project managing and environmental health and safety, I have developed a deep understanding of efficiency, quality, market opportunities, trends and sustainability. This experience has shaped my vision for For the Land, a company dedicated to transforming unused spaces into vibrant, productive farms and reconnecting people with fresh food. For the Land is more than just a farm; it's a call to action for community empowerment and environmental stewardship. We aim to empower communities to take control of their food sources, ensuring that organic, nutrient-rich produce is accessible and equitable for everyone. By reducing food miles and pollution, we provide locally grown, sustainable food solutions that benefit both people and the planet. Our innovative farming systems use significantly less water amounts and less space than traditional farming, aligning with our goal to promote environmental health and climate change awareness. We also partner with local restaurants and chefs to supply fresh, organic produce, supporting sustainable practices in the culinary industry. Our commitment extends to building strong, resilient communities. By fostering a deeper connection to our food and environment, we aim to create lasting, positive change. Join us in this grassroots movement to nourish our community and promote a healthier, more sustainable future for all.
