About Ouray Walker

I am a passionate, meticulous, and loyal person who is driven by constant improvement and the need to always learn more. I am finishing up my final semesters at Western Colorado University in pursuit of a degree in accounting. Throughout my education, I have acquired skills and developed knowledge in tax accounting, financial accounting, auditing, and accounting software. Aside from my degree course work, I became interested in banking and the oil and gas industry. I plan to fill my last outstanding electives in courses related to those fields. On top of my professional skills, I am attentive to detail, deadline orientated, focused, and will not stop until a job is complete. Outside of school, I am a dedicated skier, whitewater rafter, and kayaker. I live by the motto, “If you love what you do then you never work a day in your life.” Thus far, I have been able to find multiple ways to use my passions for a steady income: as a ski technician, a freeride coach, and in the summer a raft and kayak guide. Sticking to my career philosophy, I seek an internship and/or career in the accounting, banking, or oil and gas fields where I can further grow my passion and knowledge in those industries.
