About Owen Hogan

I solve problems by thinking outside of the box. At The University of Cincinnati, where I am completing my 4th year in the Mechanical Engineering Technology program in the College of Engineering and Applied Science, I have learned that there is almost always a different way to solve a problem. Some of my most useful skills that I have learned as my time as an engineer are, CAD (Solid Edge, Solid Works, Siemens NX), Microsoft Excel, Coding (VBA, MATLAB, JAVASCRIPT, C++/ Arduino). Some prior experience that I had in the field of engineering was an internship from June through August at a Construction Management company named Danis. During my time at Danis my goal was to learn as much as I could in as little time as possible from the professionals of the construction industry. I would visit multiple jobsites throughout the week and assist and learn from one of the construction managers on the site. Organizations that I am currently involved in here at the University of Cincinnati include The SAE Bearcat Baja club, UC Ski and Snowboard club, the UC club golf team, and the Kappa Sigma fraternity.
