Chartered Accountant with 28 years experience in both practice and industry, the latter across diverse operations at FD/CFO & Consultancy level. Post qualification, I worked with PwC in the Southern African Region in 1996, working on their high profile/listed clients. Returning to Dublin in 1998, I entered the industry sector and worked in a number of roles in British American Tobacco (Ireland), before my appointment as Finance Director in 2003. In 2006 I took on the role of CFO in an indigenous Irish Group, Killarney Telecoms, working effectively with owner/entrepreneur, where key sectors comprised of telecoms/power infrastructure provider and traditional construction operations. Thereafter I spent 3 years with Sodexo Ireland as FD with responsibility for both multisite locations across Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland, and after leaving in 2013 I have practiced as a finance consultant, and through the RGP Group, I've worked within Glanbia Performance Nutrition since July 2014 to March 2018. Current role within food services at Italicatessen, a growing and acquisitive company. Key experience includes: • 24 yrs PQE incl. 6 yrs services ind, 3 yrs telecoms, 13 yrs FMCG/MNC, 2 yrs PwC • Extensive experience of contributing at Board & Exec/Leadership Team level • Commercially focussed with broad client facing and other 3rd party experience • Excellent communicator with all levels of staff and 3rd parties • Experience in developing lean and high performance teams • Wide-ranging business modelling and analytical experience • Sound understanding of operational taxation issues • Extensive knowledge of financial/working capital management, planning and reporting • Proven PM skills, e.g. M&A activity, tenders and setting up JV • Significant change management and rationalisation experience • Results focussed Specialties: Specialties include financial management and governance, tax compliance, accounting, business planning advice and new business integration.
