About Owen Leon

I always operate with a people-first approach to business.Passionate about the city I live in, I was intrigued by real estate for its ability to have a tangible effect on Toronto's landscape. This, coupled with growing up in an entrepreneurial environment, led me to start a brokerage career, specifically office leasing.For over a year, I teamed up with one of Canada's top office leasing teams at CBRE in downtown Toronto. We worked with start-ups, scale-ups, and enterprise tenants for the relocation, renewal, and disposition of their office premises in Toronto and across Canada. After learning valuable sales, business development, and lease negotiation skills, I decided to make a change in order to pursue my interest in the investment side of real estate and my ambitions of working globally. In September 2022, I completed my Master's in Real Estate Investment from the Bayes Business School (formerly Cass) in London, England. Since August 2022, I have worked as an Investment Associate at Host, a purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) operator, developer, and investor in the UK. My primary responsibilities have been sourcing and underwriting land, development, and investment opportunities on behalf of Host's JV with Partner's Group. The goal is to create a PBSA and Co-living portfolio of up to £1 billion.Please reach out to me if you'd like to chat.
