Background

About Owen Sluga

I am an Urban Planner who is concerned with creating equitable and sustainable developments and spaces for people to live and engage within. Growing up within a small suburban town within the GTA, I understand firsthand the consequences of low-density urban sprawl and auto-dependent lifestyles. Unafraid to challenge the status quo, I am motivated to develop planning solutions which work for everyone and advocate for those who have historically been ignored.Creative and imaginative, I value the power of good visualization in planning and love to bring mine and other’s visions to life. Being extroverted and curious, I will go out of my way to create real connections with coworkers and clients. With this skillset, I am able to design innovative and radical proposals which have received praise from my professors, colleagues, and clients throughout my undergrad and work experiences.
