Background

About Owen Wattenmaker

I’ve contributed to products at both early-stage and scaling startups, beginning at Solv where I supported the company’s growth from a 10-person team to over 100 employees. That experience gave me strong technical versatility, comfort with fast-paced environments, and a deep understanding of how to build reliable, user-focused software. Most recently at Hohonu.io, I delivered key features and major projects independently, often owning them from design through deployment. Working largely solo strengthened my ability to break down problems, deliver on deadlines, and maintain high-quality standards. At the same time, my startup background means I collaborate seamlessly with product managers, designers, and other engineers—I’m equally effective working within a team or driving initiatives on my own.Outside of work, I’m passionate about the ocean and environmental sustainability. I’m motivated by building technology that’s both impactful and purposeful, and I bring that same energy and curiosity into the software I develop.
