About Pablo Acedo

Ikerbasque Research Professor and Distinguished Researcher at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU), he is currently leading the conception and launch of a new laboratory in Applied Quantum Sensing associated to the EHU Quantum center in collaboration with different actors within the the incredible quantum ecosystem of the Basque Country. Previously, he held a Full Professor position at the Universidad Carlos de Madrid where he led the Sensor and Instrumentation Techniques Research Group at the Electronic Technology Department. Beyond quantum sensing, his research interests and experience range from the development of advanced optical sources (Optical Frequency Combs and Dual Optical Frequency Combs) to the implementation of novel spectroscopic techniques with applications in fields like biomedicine, environmental engineering, and military applications. Finally, it is worth mentioning his leadership in knowledge transfer activities, where he has lead contracts with different companies an agencies.
