About Pablo Castillo

As a passionate Data Analyst, I’ve discovered surprising parallels between my love for sourdough baking and my work in data analysis. Just like baking bread, successful data analysis requires good quality ingredients. In my current position at DevTech, my mission is clear: ensure data quality to empower our clients’ decision-making. I meticulously gather, clean, and analyze data using programming languages like R and Python. These tools allow me to unravel complex business questions and provide actionable insights. We strive to maintaining USAID’s relational database with thousands of harmonized economic and social indicators from publicly available sources. My background in economics adds depth to my analytical approach. I’ve written country economic reports and dissected macroeconomic data. Growing up in Chile, I’ve learned the value of human connection—a skill that helps me understand my team’s data needs and communicate effectively in any environment. Just as mixing the right ingredients yields a perfect loaf of sourdough bread, collaborating with my team brings joy. Together, we find tools that support economic growth, much like sharing a meal around a table.
