About Pablo Prietz

In my years at Pupil Labs, I was the maintainer of Pupil Core - the open-source eye-tracking platform [1]. There, I have learned what it means to maintain and advance this large desktop software project. By being the primary contact for users and customers, we incorporated feedback very quickly and reacted to the community's requirements. Nowadays, the product's stable network and plugin APIs allow me to build custom solutions with minimal turn-around time while remaining forward-compatible. Recently, I have modernized the build and deployment pipelines for Pupil Core and all its dependencies, reducing my personal bus factor considerably. In addition to Pupil Core, I work on third-party integrations, internal tooling, and lifting research code into production.
