About Paige Ackerman
During high school, I had the chance to work a co-op term at the Engineering department of Port Coquitlam. Throughout this term I worked on projects related to pedestrian safety and active transport. I developed skills in Microsoft Excel by creating budgets and public concern documents. In my program at Waterloo I have taken a Civil Engineering concepts course where I have developed proficiency in the skill of differential surveying, operating a total station and an automatic level. I also created a design report for a culvert replacement project where I applied my skills in AutoCAD and Excel. From these experiences I have grown a passion for working with sustainable infrastructure surrounding both natural and urban projects
