About Paityn Whittington

I graduated from Auburn University in 2022 with my Bachelors degree in Human Development and Family Science with a concentration in Adult Life. As an undergrad student, I served as a research assistant on a DoD funded project known as OneOp. I was also involved in clubs such as the HDFS Professionals club and the Student Veterans Association. In my final semester of undergrad I completed an internship with the Marriage and Family Therapy Program. Following my graduation, I began an internship with the research project Alabama Healthy Marriage and Relationship Education Initiative (AHMREI), serving on both the Alabama Youth Relationship Education (AYRE) and Alabama Healthy Marriage relationship Education (AHMRE). I was involved with program implementation and data collection. I also collaborated on a poster presentation for NCFR during this time. In August of 2023, I began the Marriage and Family Therapy master's program at Auburn University. I am currently an intern therapist within the program practicing under the license of my clinical supervisor. I have continued my work with AHMREI as a GRA and am involved with program implementation, data collection, and participant management. I have been a member of the Air National Guard since April of 2018 and am currently a Staff Sergeant serving as a 7-level Material Management Specialist (2S071) and hold a leadership role overseeing Airman.
