About Pam Ocasek

In my career, I have had experience managing multiple teams in the fast paced environment of Information Technology. In addition to managing these teams, I have rolled up my sleeves and been a working manager. I have supported applications, including CRM, source code repositories, time and expense, accounting, and most Microsoft applications. I have supported network, firewall and router configurations. I have supported desktop, and various PC configurations. I have experience in telecommunications, supporting PBX systems. My strengths lie in creating order from chaos. In my career I have built IT infrastructures from the ground up and walked into environments that were in upheaval and stablilized them. I have written and implemented policies and procedures surrounding the use of Information Technology in the business environment. I believe that technology should exist to serve the needs of the business. It is important to understand the needs in order to serve them. In many cases, technology has been allowed to grow out of bounds and is not providing value to the business, but has been implemented for the "gee whiz" factor. I believe the investment must prove itself, even if the returns can only be accounted for in soft benefits.
