About Pam Rice

I have had exceptional opportunities to serve and grow personally and professionally over the last 30+ years at Maryhurst and Neighborhood House while also getting to lead in phenomenal agency growth that deeply impacts lives. Both are mission-driven agencies that inspire me by their employees as well as the people they serve. My retirement was to give me the opportunity to take care of some family needs before seeking new employment. And now.my original career home has called me back. I have returned to Maryhurst -where I started in 1983-to another wonderful group of passionate professionals working for an incredible mission. Areas of experience include:*Agency leadership as a manager and executive leader *Program development *Developing a new Board of Directors *Training: staff development, leading public workshops, training foster parents *Therapeutic foster parent and adoptive parent *Direct care work with children experiencing severe trauma and abuse *Teacher (kindergarten, deaf education, special education with teenagers) I served on the Board of Directors at Louisville's Metro United Way and Portland Presbyterian Community Trust. I was the President of the Council of Agency Executives and volunteer at my church. I have been recognized for my achievements in the development of visionary programs and for successfully turning a 100+ year old agency that was on the verge of closing to a thriving organization that is impacting lives and the neighborhood served. My vision, creative thinking, flexibility, and passion have been key assets to my success, along with great co-workers and mentors. My passion for causes I believe in enables me to recruit, inspire and motivate others to action.
