Research in Postharvest and Food Engineering: Over the years, I have gained expertise on food engineering & postharvest technology which includes food postharvest losses, quantification of Food agglomeration/granulation, Process optimisation, Food drying and cooling, Structural design for ventilated corrugated packaging; Renewable energy in food processing for Sub-Saharan Africa and Energy efficient production processes in SME food & beverage industry based around Europe. The research results are well documented in 85 original scientific papers published in international peer-reviewed journals, 2 edited books and several conference presentations. He also worked as supervisor/co-supervisor for 12 postgraduate research student. According to the Scopus, his h-index is 25 & citation - 4320. He is a member of the editorial board for the several research journals: PLoS ONE, Frontiers in Sustainable Food Systems, Journal of Food Quality, Open Agriculture, Measurement: Food (Elsevier), Discover Food (Springer) & Current Functional Foods (Bentham Science). In 2022, 2023 & 2024 he was recognized among World Top 2% influential scholars around the World (among food science researchers), published by Stanford University, USA.
